They're pretty average in my experience.  The only "better" ones I've seen base their arguments on the actual text of the bible, which is kind of a non-starter for me.  I mean, unless I have a reason to take anything it says seriously, why should I?  I guess if my goal were to convince people to deconvert, spending time explaining why everything they read (in the case of the ones that actually read it) is a bunch of contraditory bullshit might help.  But really, bogging down in a bunch of convuluted crap and dealing the the "you're not reading it in the right context, the right translation, with the right attitude, etc" stuff just isn't for me.  If I can get a few theists to understand why I dismiss their book outright, I'll be happy.
